Primary Activities

1. Music-Based Support Sessions
Music Moves Us provides in-person support sessions at participating treatment centers. These sessions include listening to music, writing lyrics, and engaging in open group discussion. Each session is designed to:

  • Help participants explore how music makes them feel

  • Encourage personal reflection and emotional expression

  • Facilitate healing and connection through shared musical experiences

A trained facilitator or volunteer leads the session, and participants are guided through listening exercises, lyric analysis, and open conversations about how specific songs or genres relate to their own stories. The goal is to create a supportive space where music serves as a tool for emotional processing and communication.
